This is all my perception, so read with bias in mind. I notice that some mythologies appear in 100% of games - the Olympians, while others appear barely ever at all unless their starting relic is chosen (Aztecs, Mezopotamians, Egypt, Yoruba, Celtic) Yes, that was one hell of a list. some fights feel absurdly overtuned, some final bosses hard counter almost any build that you can put together (im looking at you poison mountain fight if you dont have the 3 cultures that can summon extra strong units) and there are way more synergies within pantheons than there are interesting and fun interactions between them. The concept of the game is awesome and there is a ton of potential, but I really think it needs some drastic reexamination and overhauls to its mechanics. Also japan is absurd...

How do over 30% of people have this achievement? Am I missing something obvious? It's one of the last ones I have left. I was able to do 9999 defense with the Aztec jaguar guy and the boss effect that doubles defense.

Beat a run with all gods but Chinese, Also struggling in general with the 4th boss, poisonous is kicking my arse, anyone got advice or synergies, I have found more luck climbing the ascensions quicker so long as I can afford to in the run, but some pantheons don't seem to care for the higher ranks very much. I also have had inconsistent runs with all but Celtic (oddly haven't got a run with the guy who wants many of him recruited however) and Olympian.
