We would like to explain the relationship between the newly released SHINONOME ABYSS: The Maiden Exorcist (hereinafter referred to as “SHINONOME ABYSS”) and SHINONOME: Rainy Night Manor (hereinafter referred to as “SHINONOME”), which has been available in Early Access since November 2022, as well as the differences in contents between the two titles.

What is SHINONOME ABYSS?

While SHINONOME ABYSS is based on SHINONOME, it is a standalone new title built around the new core mechanic of transformation, along with multiple additional elements such as new enemy characters, items, and dungeons. With its expanded content and more action-oriented style of play, it is an independent title rather than a sequel to SHINONOME.

Therefore, for those who already own SHINONOME, please note that while the two titles do share certain elements such as dungeon structure and the core gameplay loop, the addition of these new features has brought overall gameplay adjustments and changes. As a result, even the shared elements can be enjoyed in a more exhilarating way than in SHINONOME.

In addition, SHINONOME ABYSS contains no elements that require prior knowledge of or experience with SHINONOME, so new players can enjoy it without any problem.

• New traps, stage variations, and visual effects
