Hello fellow Architects!

Another week on the green and we are doing fantastic! Thank you so much for your amazing support and feedbacks!

We hosted our first Poll and you made it really clear what you want! ːreheartː

We are finally Steam Deck tested and here are the results:
we are already trying to fix the text for the handheld mode, but the game if fully playable ːsteamhappyː

Asia Pagodas level has a bug

The level with the Asian pagodas is totally bugged. You can already see the weird display boards when you start the level for the first time. Employees suddenly start floating in the air. Visitors all come to a sudden standstill and nothing works anymore. Sometimes you just can't place objects, etc.... Someone needs to take another look at this....

Make the game free to play

I think the game should be free; only the DLC should cost money or Free DLC As for the Steam reviews, I’m pretty much in line with them. I really liked the demo, but I won’t be buying the game.

Hello fellow Architects!

First of all i want to thank you all for the amazing welcoming, support and feedback we received!

Here we are with our first official patch and patch notes:

Scoring System: at the moment we have deactivated the handicap so that the score is consistent between what golfer say and the actual score, this is just a temporary solution while we redesign the entire system.
Golfer Ai: some bug fixes, golfer should be less mindless zombie that shoot constantly in the same tree
Hole design overlay lighter on screen.
Some UI improvement
Some null references fixes that can corrupt the save file
We investigated the problem with the camera movement in Live It! where the camera will move super fast while moving the cursor on screen, the solution is to go to the Settings-> Controls -> Keyboard Map and there you click on "Restore Default" and the problem is fixed!
Follow Camera can now be disabled in settings for ultrawide screens
Level 4, Renato will now do what he is suppose to do instead of wondering around!
Fix level 7 money mission
Fix employee low energy not going to rest

DLC Pacific Island

Earthquake fix, now decor will not break, breaking along the game :D
Wrong flower bed decor in Birdie Bay
New Golf Bag for your avatar

We read all of your comments, feedback, reviews and DM. We have a clear vision of what we need to do now, the only thing is there is too much to be done for us all at once so we have to break up in more updates:

So the plan is to make 4 Major tackling one issues at the time until the quality is up to par!
First major patch will solve the messy score System.
Also i would like to point out that there is more content coming, it will spread out during minor updates while tackling the 4 bigger patch's

We are also running a Some poll on Discord [discord.gg]and will host many other in the near future!

Hot fix 1.0.2b is out NOW!

Hello fellow architects!

A quick hotfix patch to address two major issues:

1) For all German players, we discovered a localization problem that breaks the mission from Level 6 onwards. This patch should fix it. We’re not sure if it will repair existing save files—if you still experience issues, please restart Level 6, “Seidenstraße.”
2) All buildings and props are now unlocked in Sandbox Mode. This feature was originally planned for Friday’s patch, but it was already included in the project when we discovered the German localization bug.

I’d also like to take a moment to address some of the issues players are reporting:

Score System: Many players are leaving negative reviews because they don’t understand the “Handicap” system. We are currently investigating how to improve this—possibly by making the Handicap system optional in the settings.
Day 1 DLC: This decision unfortunately backfired, as some players feel exploited or perceive us as a greedy company. In reality, this choice was made in good faith: we wanted to keep the base game under $20 so more players could try it. We also aim to support our games long-term with updates and improvements.
Bugs: We tested the game extensively: two public playtests, more than four months of public demo, and both internal and external QA. However, nothing compares to thousands of players engaging with the game simultaneously. Please be patient—the team is already working hard to fix the reported issues :)
“Discouraging” Hard Holes: This is a misconception. The game is designed to start with more accessible levels for amateur players. As you progress, golfers become more advanced and naturally expect more challenging, less repetitive holes.
AI use: In Broken Arms Games we believe in the craftmanship of the art in videogame, so NO AI TOOL where used in production with the onlyu exeption of ChatGpt to correct the patch notes and some social/marketing post. We are not native English speaker team so we whrite stuff in ItalianEnglish and use this tool to correct the grammar :)
Golfer not following waypoints/ hitting trees: at the moment the goplfer think they are too good for what they are in reality, we can change that the golfer try to shoot toward the waypoints, but this will open up a lot of new unwahted behaviors. So now is time to fine tune this befhaviors and find the best solution, maybe let's talk about it togheter on discord or here on the Comunity HUB

Overall, we made this game with a lot of love and care. Every decision was carefully considered, although we are working within budget constraints. We are human, and we read all your feedback and reviews—please keep the discussion respectful, this will go a long way for the morale of the team involved.

On a more positive note, here’s what we’re working on next:

Tournament scoring displayed as +/- relative to par
Camera tilt with controller
UI showing distance between waypoints
Cursor movement in “Live It!” mode will no longer move the camera
Less intrusive hole design overlay
Quality-of-life improvements, including clearer career mode progression and skill point usage

Coming later:

More customization options and decorations
AI golfer and Career Mode balancing
New hole rating system
And much more!

Carrer mode stuck in the tutorial

I've reached the tournament in the tutorial, It's now finished. I don't get any new objective. I've let it run for over an hour now., nothing new shows up. How do I move on ?

This is not worth more than $10 currently. It's a shell of a game. Sid Meires Sim Golf is a lot better. I was hoping this would be a newer version, but it's not even close.

This game is a very good way to relax and pass time. I really enjoy the sandbox style of designing the courses but was expecting more in terms of depth for this genre. As I progressed, I planned on unlocking much more in content. I've beaten the first 6 levels and the game does not allow for as much freedom as I imagined. This game has a lot of potential but I do think it is slightly overpriced for where it sits currently. Below are some simple changes that would improve this game drastically.

- ADD AN UNDO BUTTON
- Add ability to hotkey items
- Add Projected* Revenue and Expenses to finances tab, rather than just current balance sheet for the month. This would allow for much easier planning and expansion of courses
- Allow for unlocked decor to be used across future levels, not binding you to one particular theme
- Change the trash cans so it isn't RNG whether or not a Racoons spawn! (Not sure why this is a thing)

I also wanted to add some things that I think most players would really enjoy being added to the Roadmap or future updates:

- Improve the mechanics of the user golfing, ESPECIALLY putting (I understand the game isn't supposed to be focused on this but the fact you can't even put up a slight undulation on greens is very disappointing)
- Add more depth to the economy and service structures so they don't feel like a "set it and forget", maybe adding options for what food to sell, setting membership prices, shop prices, etc.
- Expand the limits of elevation, and add things like stairs, bridges that can go higher than water, etc.
- More "End-Game" content. By the time the course is pretty much up and running, there's not really anything to do afterwards.

Bug - Says Par is 3, Score is 4 yet the player is calling it a birdie when it is a bogey

As the title says, I dunno if this is a common bug but the first hole in is a par 3 and the player scored 4 and was like 'wow a birdie'. Should be a bogey

Last level is basically done

So, I've basically finished the game, but in the last level I need to get the golfer to finally use the swimming club. I've built three swimming clubs and the idiot just won't go in there—I've been waiting forever :(. Is there a trick to this.... Can't you change it so that the guy goes to the swimming club as soon as you've built the pool?...
