i enjoy

It's not great.

If the game lets you ignore 30% of the anomalies - which is the most important part of the experience - while still being able to progress through the game, then something has gone fundamentally wrong with the game mechanic as a whole.

Unlike Exit 8 that punishes you for not being able to spot the anomaly by placing you back to Exit 0; in Platform 8 you could just run through all of it and be (un)lucky enough to essentially miss out on the entire purpose of the game all the while reaching the end without ever coming across a single "stopgate" anomaly.

I give it that, it's cute that this is a prequel disguised as a sequel.

Use the money to gift Exit 8 to your friends instead who have never experienced it before.
It's the same developer, so they benefit from it and your friends gets to experience a surreal liminal "spot the difference" game.

Also please watch the Exit 8 movie if you have enjoyed both Platform 8 and Exit 8.

Massive disappointment following Exit 8.

Rather than schizophrenically looking for the one thing you missed and becoming genuinely paranoid at every minute detail, you just do the most basic tasks to avoid the anomalies with minimum effort. Some of the events in isolation are neat but the whole of this game is just too easy with no real tension.
