Raid mode alone is too fun and worth the price of the game.

I ended up enjoying Revelations 2. It feels much closer to what a Resident Evil game is, but does feel a bit unpolished and rough around the edges, but has a good core. I actually enjoyed the story quite a bit, and the atmosphere/tone is very consistent and builds on itself very well. That's probably this games strongest parts, is the atmosphere and story. Combat was interesting and a bit different. Claire's campaign had probably the most bland combat, but I really enjoyed Barry's part of the game, having to switch characters to kill enemies efficiently and save ammo. If you don't try to play optimally, you'll be starved of ammo the whole game.

Bosses are also pretty good. However, at times, the game can feel like a slog, particularly in the middle. Environment design is generally spooky, some areas felt a lot like Half Life 2, and one section felt like Rust from MW2 . However, for most of the game, I felt is was generally pretty uninspiring, looking like it was just straight ripped out of a horror movie. Not necessarily a bad thing, but there are very few areas that stand out.

This game did feel very unpolished. There's a lack of enemy variety, and I ended up using the same 4 weapons generally for each character most of the game because they were just better. Sometimes, puzzles felt unclear. However, the story and characters outweighed then negatives from this.

Overall, good story and atmosphere, but a very decent game that doesn't excel at anything in particular. Both DLC's aren't anything special and don't have much substance but fills in some very specific gaps in the story.
