Paramilitary uniforms and foreign weaponry reveal that these are no ordinary hunters. Following the dissolution of their original unit at the conclusion of the Angolan Bush War, the mercenaries of the former Voorveld Battalion found themselves seeking a new employer.
Reorganizing under a new banner, this time under a very lucrative contract for a certain three-letter intelligence agency, they now form a conveniently deniable asset sent to investigate and extract resources as well as personnel related to the research project underway in the vicinity of Mt. Gosford.

The ATV offers some limited amphibious abilities, with which will aid us in crossing treacherous, ice-covered swamps ribboned with narrow, post-glacial lakes, dark coniferous forests, as well as rocky passes of low and medium mountains.
The Beast won't have an easy task ahead of it, and it has most certainly seen better days. Henry will be the only person around to perform even the most basic maintenance, such as replacing broken tracks and worn, under-performing engine components. Repairing mechanical damage to the body, chassis and electrical subsystems will prove to be a constant problem, interferring in our mission. It's a good thing we'll have the opportunity to visit the occasional abandoned mechanic shops and to scavenge certain encountered vehicles.
To perform repairs Henry needs to be in a good shape himself. The biting cold certainly won't make things easier and keeping the engine running, and thus heating, will make the difference between keeping your only friend - The Beast - in a working condition and protecting you from both the cold and the fauna, and making a mad dash to the closest place of opportunity. Remember, that should you choose to get there on foot, you might encounter not just wolves...

Henry's life story is steeped in both heroism and hardship. A combat veteran of a foreign conflict, Henry returned to Canada carrying the burdens of war. He wanted to lead a peaceful life alongside his wife and son. Seeking solace in the wilderness, he dedicated himself to fighting wildfires in the remote forests of Canada. Over a decade into his firefighting career, Henry has faced numerous life-threatening situations and witnessed the loss of fellow firefighters, experiences that have only solidified his commitment to his profession.
Beyond his firefighting duties, Henry is an accomplished survivalist and skilled mechanic, using his technical expertise to maintain and repair firefighting equipment, ensuring it performs in extreme conditions. His skills and steadfast dedication to helping others survive and respect the wilderness have earned him deep respect in his community.
