Patch #12 -- The Woodland Patch gave the woodland a complete visual update, making all biomes more distinguishable. The three regular biomes also now have a featured event, and all rare events have been assigned to a biome, making biomes overall more unique.

This patch also added a long-requested feature, backpacks. Players now have 1 non-combat backpack slot, which can be upgraded to 2 to allow for future planning while keeping the hard prioritization intact. Weapon Modifications, a new weapon type, was also added; it works like an item set, and each modification is unlocked by equipping weapons one after another in any order.
