As the title says, me and a friend couldn't join in to play multiplayer, is there any kind of steps to do before so we can play together?

Like the idea, but seeing random name change, and then seeing a demo that not only isnt multiplayer even though it says it is, but they failed to change the title art. "project nightmare multiplayer demo" pushes me away
