I have an old Lenovo Ideapad 310; just purchased these 2 games via Steam. My PS 5 controller will not work with the games and just wondering what controllers I could purchase to 'plug in and play' if possible? I have this isue that keboard just stops working during flight. Sometime in 1st, somentimes on later missions. Arrows still works but nothing else

I am wondering if anyone can assist an old gamer set up either a joypad or my (dusty) Thrustmaster Joystick (TFlight). I start the game, and select 2 to configure the controls, it gives me Keyboard, Joystick and Thrustmaster. First I tried to configure the Thrustmaster and leave it centerd press fire and then it asks me upper left, I do that and then it asks me to center again then upper left, and once I got it to lower right then it went back to center. First off, all of my time with this game has been with the PS1 version back when I was younger. I played for years and it never occurred to me that there didn't seem to be a way to skid or slip sideways in the game.
