Finding a Metroidvania that strikes the right balance between good atmosphere and comprehensible challenge is no easy feat, especially when it’s the work of a single developer.

Most of the game occurs in the setting of a huge cave, and it manages to give some “lo-fi” aesthetics with both the music and the lighting effects. The game presents you with the story of old architects and gods and how some kind of plague is taking over the world, and you are just a chosen survivor to disrupt the chaos.

The story itself wasn’t captivating enough for me, and I feel that it was saved (and mostly ignored) by the gameplay and how smooth everything feels. It’s a rare case where the kinesthetics of the game are strong enough to carry the experience on their own.

• Precise Controls: In a genre where 80% is platforming, the movement here is tight. There's no "floatiness" and the controls respond exactly as they should, which is vital for a game this focused on movement.
  
• Rock-Solid Performance: I played the entire game without a single bug or frame drop. It’s incredibly polished and runs like a dream.
  
• Fair but Firm Difficulty: While veterans might not find it "hardcore," it demands respect. The checkpoints are generally fair, though some stretches will definitely test your resolve.

For Metroidvania enjoyers (and for all): if you value smooth gameplay and solid performance, this is a must play.

Full gameplay video

A very competent and polished metroidvania with heavy precision platformer leanings. There are lots of things to collect, a tracker to keep track of them (whole game only, not individual zones), and it doesn't outstay its welcome.

Atmosphere is great, music was solid, performance was excellent. Personally I'd have preferred a little more grace in the platforming, but for fans of truly precise controls, this is a very solid experience.

I've been playing for about 2.5 hours and I absolutely love it. I have fought 1 boss and it was awesome!🔥 The art style is amazing. The controls are tight! The enemies are tough, but fair. The platforming is hard, but very satisfying when you finally complete it. I definitely recommend this to anyone that likes metroidvania's that use shooting like a traditional metroid game. I'm loving it!! Just go ahead and grab it!!
