GOD FOR A DAY IS OUT NOW!

After 3 years of solo development, pure passion, and a total rollercoaster of hard work, God For A Day is officially live on Steam! Looking at the final result right now, I honestly can't believe it's finally finished. This was my game. Now, it belongs to you.

To celebrate launch day, the game is currently 24% off.

You are going to judge 35 souls, but these choices won't be as easy as they look. Sometimes, just like in real life, there is simply no right answer. The game features 5 different endings, so I highly recommend playing through it at least twice with completely different decisions to see how the story shifts. Also, for those who prefer gaming on the go, the game is Steam Deck Playable.

I was really excited for this game, but unfortunately, it’s just not fun or interesting at all. The entire gameplay loop is just searching for clues, picking "heaven or hell," and that’s literally it. The writing is also very flat and boring so comparing themselves to Death and Taxes is laughable. What’s worse is it feels like the game tries to punish you for sending obviously bad people to hell, which makes it feel like the devs actually like the real life individuals they based those characters on.

Honestly, this would’ve been so much better if it wasn't bare bones and didn't just involve clicking around a single page for 2 to 3 minutes over and over. They also should have created unique characters instead of using real people.
Do not recommend.

Overall I liked it EXCEPT that I got to the last person to judge; which ironically enough was the Funky Forest location and I got a game crashing bug. Something that looked like a partial lotto card started partially filling the screen as I moved my mouse blocking out the view and eventually the game just crashed. I restarted it and the save point didn't match my progress; the 3 locations left for me to visit wasn't the last three I had before the crash. just 1 matched up; the Funky Forest again, and my follower count didn't match again so I lost 2 1/2 hours of progress. I continued just to see what would happen and encountered the same game crashing visual bug again.

waited quite a bit of time for this and honestly im kind of disappointed ?

graphics would have been decent if some of them didnt look AI generated

the humor is overall decent, pretty outdated and some got a few chuckles out of me but that's about it. good references though

gameplay is overall pretty slow and clunky, no real moral dilemma and it's always weird how sometimes the obvious answer is just wrong

for the technical parts :
game was insanely laggy despite me having a good rig
lot of janky stuff, especially the hints sometimes refusing to leave the screen or even appearing on a whole other level ?

ended up requesting a refund. 10 euros is too high of a price tag for a game that gets old after the first playthrough and wasnt a mind blowing experience

solid 5-6 out of 10, could be a whole lot better

not a game you can really do well

look i like the idea but this game is to subjective to morality. i chose to take out the peaple who were geniunly bad and i made things worse dispite it doing better for the city. so the devoloper morals and what makes things better is what dose. thiers the trap of this game. agian i like the idea and satan being a cat ain hell love it the humorus take on son of god great the social media judgment app brutal and amusing. dont kill the drug making gun shooting teacher because hes a good guy..... dont ...

Game Crashing Bug

I played the game all the way to the last location which I happened to have left as Funky Forest; after selecting a few items I started getting a visual bug where half my screen turned into this lotto card as I moved my mouse over it; and blocked out the view. Eventually the game just crashed. I reentered the game and hit continue and it loaded with 3 locations left. Of the 3 locations, only 1 matched up the actual 3 remaining locations I actually had left on my original playthrough and my follower coun...

Why isn't Adolf the bartender any more?

In the demo (which is not available any more, is it because of that?), Adolf H. was the bartender when Satan invites you to get a drink and decide of the case of Walter White (he has another name in the game but we all recognized him). You guys chose to change this not to offend? I'm Jew and it did not offend me at all, actually i'm more offended by this era where we can't say or see anything without censorship (see, i decided to write Adolf H. because of that...)...
