The city feels large and varied, with plenty to explore, from abandoned streets to hidden safehouses. Unlike earlier entries, the world is more seamless, making exploration smoother and more immersive. Players are constantly rewarded for exploring with new weapons, blueprints, and engaging side missions.

Dead Rising 3 ruined the series by turning it into a generic "do whatever" open world game. Dead Rising is a time management game fundamentally, with zombies and goofy weapons added in to either aid, slow, or distract you from your objective. You had to avoid zombies, and only kill when necessary. You got better by improving your knowledge of the mall and weapons, learning tons of new things every playthrough.
DR3 on the other hand drops the time management aspect altogether and now rewards you for goofing off. It's easy from the start. You "get better" by choosing levels in a skill tree, becoming an unkillable god at the end. This contrasts with everything else in this game. The aesthetics, theme, and music are the most serious this series has ever been but you are actively encouraged to do the unserious stuff. Intense music will ramp up when a horde approaches you, as if it will be a stressful and dangerous battle between your survival and the time, however your weapons are designed to plow through hundreds, zombies are designed to be fodder, and the lenient time limit may as well not exist. The visuals and mechanics are completely opposed to each other. Not that it would be any better if it were synchronized. All that's left is the dopamine excretion from mindlessly killing zombies for no reason.
They continued this format into DR4 and made it even worse somehow, and DR5 leaked footage showed they learned nothing. This is where the fall of Dead Rising as a series began. Rest in peace.

Also, this PC port cannot be played above 60 fps without control issues, desyncs and crashes in co-op, and needs mods to fix FOV.
