I remember like quite much this game a few years back but never really found anything that similar, apart from either party-managed games or more action-focused hack'n'slash games. I also tried Balrum but my experience with this game was... Well, let's say I didn't like the grind at all, despite few nice ideas here and there. Would anyone have any idea of recommandation about a game that would be close to Eschalons' game format in general ?...

Tried 10 times to beat him...But F##ck this I will have to return some other day. Moves to fast, to long a reach, to much health, to many helpers. yea even halves plasma damage. Knew this was going the Might and Magic route when I found something that can shoot plasma. See ya....
