no corpse marker is a sin

spent 3 hours making progress to die randomly due to literally no ability to get food outside of chasing deer, so you cannot really sustain yourself while starving and must accept death. Not great. Berry bushes seemingly give nothing, so? I mean. I just make progress only to lose it with no chance of getting it back? I've scowered the island I exist on and not a single thing points me towards my loot, to a point i'm convinced it's despawned. Feels a bit like, trash? I'd like to have progression be some...

Survival Playtest Weekend

The First Survival Playtest for PlanetSmith is LIVE!

This is your first chance to have a look at survival mode, come take part and give us your feedback.

We have added 14 achievements to collect and there are some community challenges and leaderboards that will extend the playtest length.

To celebrate we are having a speedrun challenge running on our Discord[discord.gg] and some special discord rolls you can obtain by taking part.

Also on discord we have a special bug reporting channel, ⁠survival-bug-reports[discord.com] you can use with the new command /bug to send us bug reports about issues you've found. You can also react to other peoples bugs to upvote them in our system so we can see the really important ones that everyone's getting.

Mine for coal?

Very cool demo. Maybe consider a small, hand generated tutorial biome with the beginner resources centrally located? It took me 2 tries to get a world with a useful amount of trees near water. But I don't know what I'm looking for to "mine coal." I dug down a bit and just got gravel and dirt. No caves or coal. Roamed around looking for rocks but nothing popped up....

demo looks interesting. any plans for options to make custom sizes/biome generation tweaking? Also would like to see some basic blocks to make vehicles like planes and boats, obviously something you work towards. plans to host your own dedicated servers? modding support?...

First thoughts Alpha

So first off, Gotta say I like this. However, there are going to be some big concerns fairly quickly. Most glaringly is MS/Mojang. I honestly wont be surprised if this doesn't quietly disappear as so many other minecraft type games have. I hope you are ready for that fight. Secondly, it took me forever to find my equipment for the longest time I thought I had to go to a campfire to access it (E key if you haven't found it yet.) A minimap feature would be nice and I understand you don't want to get too much...

fell through the map while digging a spiral staircase in search of coal

died on impact with the bottom of the map, the "return to main menu" button on the death screen did not work. just thought id bring some bugs to your attention :)
