The Good:
The combo system is legitimately fun—when the game allows it. There’s a nice spread of attacks, weapons, special grabs, and the inventory system is surprisingly painless compared to genre peers. It’s also inexpensive, with unlockable characters after completion, so there’s some value on paper.

The Bad:
Actually playing it is the problem. Movement feels awkward, and depth perception—especially with flying enemies—is a mess. Enemy design ranges from brain-dead to outright ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, with terrible hitboxes, inconsistent hit detection, and super armor slopped around like BBQ Sauce. Respawning gives you zero i-frames, so you can die again near instantly if you’re unlucky. Boss variety is painfully lacking, with constant repeats padded out by even more obnoxious armor. Enemies frequently ignore hitstun, and stages are packed with hazards, making the game feel like it’s actively working against its own combat system.

The Ugly:
The writing is a barrage of forced references that gets old fast. The final boss is one of the worst I’ve seen—more like a bad platformer fight than a beat ’em up. And the soundtrack is completely forgettable.

Verdict:
There’s a solid beat ’em up buried in here, but the design constantly gets in the way. What could’ve been a fun combo-driven brawler turns into a frustrating slog where you rarely get to enjoy what it does right.

Good game, It is actually better than I thought it would be. It is easy to play and some what challenging. The animations could be smoother and the movement is stiff but all the mechanics for a good beat em up are there. I like that the ground attacks are easy to perform and that there are different directional attack. Sound and music is good as well. I wish it had 4 player and it would benefit from Remote play as well. Over all a solid 7 out of 10. 4 player and online play would make this an 8 out of 10. if you like beat em ups this is a good one to look into!

This game is aggressively Dreamcast in the best ways, it's visually loud and colorful. There's voicelines everywhere, it's all snappy and fun and a little jank. It has a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of lore connecting to the old Jaleco beat-em ups it's based after.

The combo system is surprisingly fluid and very fun to mess around in, and this is a game that will bend you over if you're not careful even on normal. I'm not claiming to be an expert beat-em up player but I do play a lot of them, and some of the enemies (namely the grapplers) will absolutely just grab you at a moment's notice and have a LOT of active armor frames. Some of the best ways of dealing with this enemies is just getting out of their way and hitting them once their done. Complicated in practice but I see the vision the more I play it. Some enemies are kind of cheap.

You DO have a parry but it doesn't seem to work on every attack, and sometimes you might get the parry but the move afterwards completely whiffs, which is kinda funny in that janky arcade way.

All in all, really fun! Definitely enjoying it, it has some pain points with some enemies I'd love to see ironed out but it's really good!

Update: Having finished the game fully in story mode on normal. It's still recommended, but some of the pain points of enemies should be elaborated: They are the most disrespectful goobers on the face of the earth. If you knock them down, they will frame 1 start attacking again so keep your parry at the ready. As time goes on there is an increase in enemies (and a boss!) where parrying isn't worthwhile. Which feels kind of bad.

Enemies that grab you are absurd, they will do it at almost any time and have no respect to your buttons. The end boss is a so-so experience, but overall this is still a very solid beat-em up and I definitely enjoyed it for just how free flowing the combo system is.
