I want to begin by saying that I've been playing RTS games since the mid-90s. I play for fun, not competitively. This game's combat and upgrade system is quite a bit simpler than the Age of Empires games, and feels like it's even simpler than Warcraft 2 in some ways, yet despite that I keep losing.
