Yeah it's definitely inspired from god hand but seems like the developer just beat god hand in easy mode once then try to made one by him/her self. No counter system no deeper action design ，just made it looks like god hand but missed the core design that Shinji Mikami made. If you try god hand in hard mode which is the core experience of it，then you will find out a totally different game as it was....

also will there be more comedic elements to the game like God Hand, or is it strictly a cowboy themed game.

I never played God Hand before but this game looks awesome! I do have some suggestions though. Can you increase the feedback of hits? Like more visual effects when hitting enemies and more impactful sound affects; that sort of stuff. Also, objects that you can pick up and throw? I know you’re a one man team so you can’t add everything. Regardless, great work! ...
