The sower puzzles are countless times more difficult to perfect than the slider puzzles. The solution is frequently extremely unintuitive, and every method I used to figure out the slider puzzles (fantastic puzzle design on those!) doesn't work. I can't even find a method to solve them other than brute forcing it and trying every possible move. In comparison, I solved the later slider puzzles in a tiny fraction of the time it took me to solve the early ones, since I learned a bunch of tricks and patterns ...
