when playing advance mode I find that sometimes when I use the shovel tool it will place the square I shoveled out on top of a spawning trash block, effectively ending the game. Am I doing something wrong or was this just an oversight?

probably not, despite the pretty high price, but it would be a must even in a free game. and how about other basic stuff, like separate volume settings, windowed mode, etc.
