Hey, Matteo here with some good news for everyone waiting for Shadows Of Deceit: the new demo is finally ready, and it will replace the old demo next weekend. I hope you’re ready, because there have been a lot of changes to the game’s final direction, and the new demo will show it.

The new demo will be available starting Saturday, April 4, 2026. I hope you’re excited! 💪

Hi everyone, Matteo here.
I have some news for everyone who’s been waiting for the full release of SOD.
The game has officially been postponed to 2026, and I’ve started by releasing a new trailer.

It took quite some time to fully understand how Shadows of Deceit should evolve over these two long years, from the screenplay to the way the story’s protagonists develop. I listened carefully to all of you, especially regarding the addition of the flashlight, as well as the jumpscares, which I have to admit felt a bit predictable in the first demo.

As for the game and the new demo, I’ll see you all in 2026.

That said, see you soon, and stay tuned for more Shadows of Deceit news.
There are some great things coming, I promise.

Hi everyone, Matteo here! I have a very important announcement regarding the development of Shadows of Deceit.

2024 has been a year that redefined many aspects of the game. This year, for those interested, I’ll be sharing new development updates directly on the new channel dedicated solely to the game’s development.

Terrible optimization...

I could never get above 50 fps per second with an RTX3080 and i9 processor in the demo, even when turning all the settings down to medium and resolution slider way down under 50%. I also had major frame rate drops down into the 30s while trying to play. This game also made my pc fans race extremely high and GPU temps were in the 80s Celsius. I also encountered a major bug when unlocking the basement door and the game locked up to where I had to control-alt-delete out of the game. Uninstalled and ignored....

Will it ACTUALLY be procedurally generated

What I mean is would I be blowing money on a game I can only play for a few days to weeks or is it genuinely unending like does it randomly mix stuff around to make the game endless or does it have an end like so most other game I buy there's a reason I usually play sandbox games they don't end so does this one end or is it not worth it?...

Eh.

There were a few good jump scares, but the game needs more interaction with items. It rain well and I had no bugs etc. Keys should be usable, without needing to be selected.

Love it

Really nice game, looking forward to the full version. I had no problem with the performance of the game on the RT 6600 I play on 1440p medium settings . I don't know if Lumen works in the game, but I haven't seen any extreme difference
