We’ve been getting a lot of questions about when you’ll finally be able to jump into the Midrealms. The wait is almost over! We’re excited to share that the closed alpha is set to begin next week, allowing our community to play through the first half of the Heartlands.

This is the best time for you to help us shape Ardent Wilds with your feedback and experience the game before it hits early access.

We’ll be inviting players in waves on a first-come, first-served basis, so don’t worry if you don’t receive an invite right away. The first wave of invites will be sent out this week.

What is Included in the Closed Alpha?

The closed-alpha will primarly focus on the first few hours of gameplay, this includes completing the intro, building your base, crafting and discovering better gear and will conclude after you defeated the fearsome Zyrrhak and his minions.

Can I stream the game?Absolutely, please do! While the game is far from finished and not representative of the final game we don't mind people getting a small glimpse into what Ardent Wilds has to offer.

Ardent Wilds is an open-world sandbox adventure that can be played solo or with friends. You awaken in a vast, untamed land shaped by ancient magic and creeping corruption.

Gather resources, build, collect loot, craft tools, weapons and armor as you venture deeper into a huge world with dangerous creatures and challenging bosses to face.

Absolutely! While Ardent Wilds is a ton of fun with friends, it’s just as enjoyable to embark on an adventure on your own.

Combat in Ardent Wilds is designed to stand out from other games in the genre. Fast-paced, responsive, highly customizable and, above all, fun. There are no predetermined roles, your abilities come entirely from the gear and weapons you equip, letting you mix and match to suit your style.

Want to unleash rapid-fire fireballs as a glass cannon mage? Charge headfirst as a melee tank? Support your friends as a healer? The choice is yours.

Yes, while your power in combat will primarily come from your weapons and equipment, there is also the Aetherium Network.

The Aetherium Network is a physical, in-world skill tree that rewards a variety of non-combat perks that support building, crafting, travel, and much more. It's made up of ancient magical facilities scattered across the land. To unlock new skills, you must travel to these locations and complete unique challenges, ranging from boss fights and encounters to environmental puzzles.

Once unlocked, The facility becomes part of the Aetherium Network. It grants everyone an unique bonus and also serves as a fast travel point, allowing you to quickly traverse the world as you surge along rays of arcane energy.

While we can’t announce an exact release date just yet, development is progressing rapidly and we hope to share more details soon.

We haven’t decided on a final price yet, but we want Ardent Wilds to be accessible to as many players as possible. Our goal is to price it similarly to other games in the genre while also supporting regional pricing so it’s fair for players around the world.

Yes! Ardent Wilds offers extensive modding support. Nearly every aspect of the game, creatures, abilities, items, and even world generation can be customized and extended using our custom editor and Lua scripting API.
