I dont care if you want to recreate old school grind fests or not. Quality of life has come a long way since then. Especially for a game that can be played single player. I've been in the black ice dungeon looking for the heart of ice 25 times. not one drop. that is ludicrous. Your not doing your players any favors here. The whole area is so trivial to me at this point I dont want to spend another second there. so im done.

I have also logged back in many times now with different mercenaries assigned from when I logged out in a different location so it needs to be better about exit saving the state.

For now this game is a nope for me. I really could like it too, but too many bugs and too much designed into the game just to frustrate the player.

If you own absolutely no other games, are unemployed and some sort of masochist this game might be for you.

How difficult is it to get inventory space !? Why make it so painful, why is there so much junk to collect ?? Mobs that drop bags start at lvl 30 ?? This seems designed to pad out playing time which I will get to.

Item tooltips are awful; So many gems all say they're useful for crafting or selling with their lazy copy pasta descriptions but it's only about 8 of them that are useful for anything. Most games get around this with handy tooltips in the item description.

Leaves recipes on mobs, whilst some can be used, others take up even more inventory space. Pick a lane !? make them low loot chance, but once you learn them (make them all learnable) remove from the loot table ??

What are these shards, I don't want to collect 10 because this dungeon is boring me already.

The bank is ridiculous for collecting these trinkets, out of curiosity I wondered what the last upgrade was it's 500,000 gold !? lvl 50 bosses drop ~40 gold if you're lucky.

I hit level 50 and i'm still using the same gear I got from lvl 20 because the drop rates are horrendous, I think i've only ever seen 4 earrings and only one type of bracer.

Skills and fights are dull, I played as a rogue, and detect trap and 'invisibility' are a joke. I used them maybe twice.
Most bosses (where the extra damage would be useful) detect you. Traps do such meh damage it's easier just to walk over them.
That's not to mention the skill to build up more fury, I still had to chug potions like an addict. For my attacks to miss anyway because apparently dumping 80% of stats into DEX isn't high enough.

Bestiary is all good and well, but what about small mob drops, I got a bag off an elemental which is apparently a 1% drop. Absolute fluke, be nice to know this was a drop though how am I getting these but had to kill Spider face and Ogre balls like 50 times for their 15% drops ??

Game seems hellbent to cater for kids who have the wiki and discord open on another monitor 100% of the time, the old MMOs had ways around this and did them well traders/markets/player vendors, world chat, decent tooltips.

Character creation I picked the Lizard chap who has +5% Scroll something. What does this even mean !? I got in game and you can make scrolls at lvl 30 and they do things. I never actually made one as they all sounded boring. But it was possibly the worst out of all the starting buffs, which could have been solved if it said what it did.

Everything padded behind timers to pad out the game, "Collect 30 Berylium" there's only 5 that spawn here in this specific area and take 15mins to refresh be sure to take 2 pickaxes because you're only 62.3% good at mining. These timers work in MMOs because you can buy them, or farm other things to sell. Just doesn't work here.

Apparently I missed some bosses that only spawn 20% of the time, if the moon is red on a Tuesday morning in the bestiary, why would I possibly go look for these is the gear they drop going to be any better if they're level 15. In MMOs these usually provided something, bragging rights with a stupid cosmetic or something. But there's no one to brag to.

With some work this could be a solid single player game and I wouldn't possibly expect anyone else to endure this game in multiplayer with me.

To have the audacity to talk about DLC is mental.

Will check it out again at 1.0 hopefully some on boarding happens rather than the typical response that's "Maybe this game isn't for you", to anyone thinking of purchasing i'd suggest installing Path of Exile... for Free where you time and sanity is appreciated.

Bosses are tough as hell but super well-designed. Dungeons are hella engaging and the loot actually feels worth it. There’s a ton of professions and they all feel useful which is kinda rare. Overall, this is how a CRPG should be done, no joke.
