The moment you've all been waiting for is finally here – the Alpha 1 test for 3XO launches on October 25! We’re beyond excited to welcome our early community members to the next phase of our journey, and we’ve got plenty of surprises in store.

This first look at 3XO is a Halloween-themed experience, blending the spooky vibes of the season with synthwave, sci-fi, and all the cyberspace goodness you’ve come to expect from us.

Alpha 1 will go live on Friday, October 25th at 3:00 pm EST. Servers will go back down at 3 am EST each night. It will run until Sunday, November 3rd at 3:00 am EST.

We could just open the servers and that's it. But where's the fun in that? Let's party!

Our Alpha 1 test will be a huge event, with lots of in-game surprises and hidden easter eggs, as well as a full calendar of games, contests, and other exciting events! Here's the full schedule:

What's a party without music? We are officially opening up sign-ups for all you awesome DJs to spin some tunes during Alpha 1.

To sign up, contact Reigning Sun (via DM, email, or opening a ticket on Discord) and tell me what timeslot(s) you're interested in. We'll then figure out a good time for us to quickly listen to your audio stream to make sure it's good quality audio.

As we prepare to launch our Alpha 1 test on October 25, we’re calling on all of you to not just play, but to test. This early phase of 3XO is where we need your help the most. Our game is built to be an expansive, player-driven experience, but in order to reach its full potential, we need dedicated testers who are willing to dive deep, find those hidden bugs, and send us detailed reports.

Being a tester isn’t just about having fun in the game (though we know you will). It’s about paying attention to those quirks and glitches, discovering what works and what doesn’t, and offering constructive feedback that helps us improve 3XO. From broken animations to server issues, every bug you catch and every piece of feedback you send us will push the game one step closer to perfection.

Our goal is to build a seamless, immersive cyberspace experience, and that means ironing out every wrinkle with your help. So, whether you spot a bug, find a feature that isn’t working quite right, or simply have an idea on how to make the game better – let us know. Your voice matters, and we’re counting on you to help us shape the future of 3XO!

Testing a game in Alpha isn’t just about enjoying the early access experience—it’s about helping us make the game better. We need dedicated testers who are willing to explore every feature, try out different settings, and, most importantly, report any bugs they encounter. Your feedback is critical in helping us fine-tune 3XO and turn it into the ultimate social sandbox experience.
We rely on detailed bug reports to find and fix issues in the game. Whether you experience a glitch in an animation, an unexpected crash, or something that just doesn’t feel right, letting us know about these issues as specifically as possible is key. When submitting reports, please include the following details:

• What happened? Describe the bug or issue.
  
• Where did it happen? Provide the location, context, or system (e.g., Avatar Editor, Halloween Party World).
  
• How did it happen? Share the steps you took right before the bug occurred.

Beyond bug reports, we value your feedback on game features and overall user experience. Let us know what works well and what could be improved. Are the controls intuitive? Is the chat system easy to use? Every piece of feedback, no matter how small, helps us identify areas for improvement and prioritize future updates.

While we encourage you to have fun during Alpha 1, we also need you to test thoroughly. Don’t just stick to the features you’re excited about—try out everything. Explore the avatar customization options, check out the Halloween Party World, dance, chat, use the emotes, and adjust settings. The more features you try, the more potential bugs you’ll uncover, and the more feedback you’ll be able to provide.

By becoming a proactive tester, you’ll help shape the future of 3XO and ensure that the game is as polished and enjoyable as possible when it launches for everyone. Thank you for your dedication—we couldn’t do this without you!

Our Alpha 1 build will focus on delivering the core features of 3XO. While we have many more features already developed and ready to go, this phase of testing is designed to target specific elements that we want detailed feedback on. By focusing solely on the core features, we can ensure the feedback and bug reports we receive are streamlined and actionable, allowing us to make rapid improvements.

Here’s a breakdown of every feature you’ll get to experience in Alpha 1:

One of the most exciting parts of Alpha 1 is the Full Avatar Editor. You’ll have access to a wide array of customization options for your character, from clothing choices to animation previews. Improved camera controls will make it easier to fine-tune your look, and we’ve packed in tons of new features to experiment with. Keep an eye out for an upcoming Dev Blog where we’ll show off all the exciting new tools in the editor!

To celebrate the season, we’ve built a super cool Halloween-themed world just for Alpha 1 testers! This party world is filled with hidden easter eggs, secrets, and other cool surprises for you to discover. It’s the perfect place to show off your avatar, socialize, and explore a spooky yet vibrant virtual environment.

You’ll be able to show off your moves with our selection of dance animations. While the full roster of dances isn’t ready just yet, there’s already a decent variety included in Alpha 1. Expect even more dances to be added as we clean up and refine additional animations in the future.

Along with dancing, we’ve packed Alpha 1 with a range of social emotes. These will help you interact with other players, and much like the dances, we’ll be expanding this library as we continue to work on new animations.

Of course, what’s a social game without chatting? The chat system will be live and functional in Alpha 1, allowing you to message and interact with fellow players. We’ve also included Profiles, where you can show off details about your avatar. Profiles will continue to evolve, with more features being added in Alpha 2.

Lastly, you’ll have access to a fully functional Settings menu where you can adjust your graphics, audio, user interface, and other game settings to customize your experience.

As with any early test, there are a few features that won’t make it into Alpha 1 but are coming soon. The core focus of this phase is to test the essential systems, so many of the more advanced social features and customization options will debut in Alpha 2 and beyond. But don’t worry – if a feature you’re excited about isn’t in Alpha 1, the next testing phase is right around the corner!

Here’s a list of the main features that will not be available in Alpha 1:

Our version of guilds, known as Circles, will not be part of Alpha 1. Circles will play a big role in how players organize and socialize in 3XO, but this system will officially roll out in Alpha 2.

The Permissions system, which allows you to control who can interact with your avatar (e.g., auto-accept or deny animation requests), will also be introduced in Alpha 2. This is crucial for social interactions, and we want to ensure it’s polished before release.

Although it may seem like a basic feature, Friends and Ignore Lists are closely tied to our larger social framework. These lists will be integrated with the database changes we’re making for Alpha 2.

One of the most anticipated features, the World Editor, won’t be available until Beta 1. This tool will allow players to create and customize their own worlds within 3XO, but it’s still in development and will be released once it’s ready for broader testing.

While the Shop and other monetization features like VIP tiers are in the works, these won’t be a part of Alpha 1. Expect them to arrive during Beta 2 once we’ve solidified the game’s core systems.

Now, we know this might be disappointing for some, but partnered animations, including sex and couples dances, won’t be in Alpha 1. We’ve run into challenges with our animation systems, particularly with IK targeting for avatars of different heights. This is a complex system that we’re actively working to improve, and any feedback we receive at this stage would likely be irrelevant, as we plan to overhaul it soon. Since this is also technically a social feature, we’ve made the decision to delay partnered animations until Alpha 2. We want to make sure this system is flawless before bringing it to you.
