A big improvement and a lot of fun. The dragon mechanic is a great addition and the world is interesting to explore. Humor is a nice touch throughout.

got some good hack and slash, got some cool quests and finding keys to get into crypts and stuff and on top of all that all the women are smoking hot....all of them. I am really enjoying myself. I like the combat moves and I love killing goblins. its a great game i am totally pleased with it. and the women are smoking hot. Did i mention the women are hot? the voice acting is excellent I have not encountered a duped voice for any NPC's they all sound different enough to be originals for each character which is of course impossible so the voice actors did great at changing their voice for each character they portray. I love the combat and I haven't yet gotten high enough level to be able to just 'wade in' to combat I have to pick them off in ones and twos and I have gotten 'gud' at dodging fireballs from spellcasters.

Got this game with a massive Discount in my series to play through the older Divinity games, having played DOS I and II previously.

When I started playing it felt a bit simple for a while, but this changes quite a bit, especially once you get to the dragon bit of the game. The story, and characters and dialog are much improved from the predecessors, and this feels much closer in that regard to the DOS series.
I kinda want to see the goblins again in the new Divinity game though.
Overal I enjoyed my playthrough, I do think there's quite some imbalance between builds, I've only tried melee and range however. Range has some very exploitable skills, like faceshooting multi arrows etc.

I've seen some reports of crashing on windows without patching, I did not experience this as I run through Proton. I did have an issue with some videos not playing at all, I fixed this manually by encoding all videos with a different codec using ffmpeg.
I had a savegame which crashed on load, luckily I had a quicksave 5 minutes before; but save often and use different means, there's only a single quicksave (at least I don't know if there's any options to increase the amount).
