One of the major changes we have made is to the wall turrets. We noticed that players had difficulty distinguishing turrets from deployed units. To address this, we have given the turrets a completely new art design and made them capable of taking all units except the Drill Bot.
Additionally, we have eliminated the need for manual deployment of units. Now, slime traps and hives are treated like any resource pile, to which you can assign units.
To prevent players from rushing the hives with gunner bots early on, we have introduced a new Driller Bot. Players will need to build up their base economy before going on the offense. We have removed the Shield bot, as it is no longer necessary for defensive purposes.
Hive combat has been improved as well. Now, the hive is more responsive when attacked and will activate and spawn monsters every night. It will also spawn traps when under attack.
Finally, we have updated the levels and tutorials to match the new gameplay mechanics. We believe these changes will provide a more enjoyable experience for our players.
