Update: A New Launch Window for Apocalypse Factory 🛠️🧟

Hey everyone!

I have an important update regarding the development of Apocalypse Factory. While I’ve been working hard toward a January release, I’ve decided to move our Early Access launch to March 2026.

Why the change? As a solo developer, my priority is making sure that the moment you step into the wasteland, the automation feels snappy, the base defense is challenging, and the game is as stable as possible. This extra time will allow me to:

Refine the Logic: Ensure production lines and electrical networks are perfectly balanced.
Polish the Combat: Fine-tune the zombie AI and defensive mechanics.
Squash Bugs: Nobody wants a factory breakdown because of a glitch!

What to expect in March: You’ll still get the full Early Access experience: complex production lines, technology research, and the constant thrill of defending your base. We’re just taking a few extra weeks to make sure the "Factory" is truly ready for its production.

Demo Feedback 3-11-27

Tried the demo. Definitely not happy about how system intensive the game is despite the unimpressive graphics, as well as the poor level of functionality. 1) Despite my CPU and GPU being reported as only 1% usage, and memory at 49% usage, I can hear my computer's fans getting rather loud. 2) I'm guessing the very low reported CPU/GPU usage is because the game completely pauses when out of focus, even when windowed. First Impressions and a Bug

First and foremost, the game seems like a good idea. As it is very raw and early still, there isn't much to review. However, after about 2.5 hours I'm interested enough to keep following. It takes a bit to figure out how to get the power running smooth, but the challenge was fairly simple to solve through some trial and error. I do recognize though that I speak with privileged as this genre is something I have extensive time in. I'm not so sure a layman would find success quickly enough to keep them playi...

Uses up a lot more computer resources than it should

So I started the tutorial, and less than minute later my computer's fan is at full throttle, which tells me that my computer is working a lot harder than it definitely should be. So to say the least, you have a problem somewhere. I can't try to play a game when my computer is being pushed so hard for something that should be graphically unintensive. I have fairly modern computer that can play BF1 on medium/high settings without the fan getting much louder than the low hum with just with steam open....

Too buggy and not enough guidance how to play ( i had a much longer explanation but somehow Steam threw me back to main page and didnt save my comments ) To the Dev : If you want more explanation feel free to comment this but whew, you have a long way to go....
