If you're interested in RE Village, then I do recommend trying the demo first. It'll teach you the basic controls & let you grasp what kind of game Village is. The demo gives you an hour of playtime, but don't worry if it doesn't sound like a lot, the demo is very short.

And if you're interested in achievements start a new run after finishing the demo and just stand there until you've used up the hour of playtime.
