I would like the ability to hide the characters that appear with text dialogue. I would find the whole experience more zen and relaxed with no dialogue at all. Ideally I don't want to see characters at all--Wipeout never needed anything like that. At the very least, I'd like them not to pop up with a message each time I retry a path. In games that feature tooltips and hints, they are usually the first thing I turn off. These characters just feel like hints I can't turn off....

Game is pretty interesting so far but the character dialogue gets in the way of the time trial flow state too much. Especially when I am just trying to quickly play the next track after finishing a previous one. Perhaps there could be a setting that would disable/minimize this element?
