It's unacceptable that a game in 2026 only supports XeSS (Intel Arc dGPU has 0% market share btw). Fine, I will run with TSR. Guess what? I'm getting 45 FPS on a 5080.

The graphics must look amazing then? Nah, it looks 2015. The facial expression of NPCs looks worse than Half Life 2. No wonder all the enemies in this game are 'statues'

The core gameplay is basically a Bioshock style shooter with your HP pool as ammo. Somewhat fun, but the maps are just narrow corridors with little expedition value. You go into a room off the main path and finds a chest with 50 coins in it, horray.

Every bit of the game screams single A. Yes the price tag reflects this fact, but I just have other better games to spend my time on.

You're playing as a religious fanatic named Gabe and use your blood to reload your weapons. That's dope af.

What a unique choice of character to play as too. And you have a polar opposite in form of a girl Mediodia. These two characters are perfect combo for each other. I also highly suggest to play with Spanish voices.

Visually pretty and similar to Bioshock: Infinite. Art deco style, carnival vibe, ghost memories. But be warned: don't play if you don't like rain because it's here from beginning to end but there is a lore reason for that. Would be great for the sequel to be with always sunny weather because we'll transport to the land of the Sun .

Even though it is similar it doesn't play like Infinite at all. It plays like RE2:Remake or 7. Statues wobble absolutely in the same way as zombies in the Remake and overall there is a lot of RE DNA. For some reason the game even opens an interactive menu when you press elevator button and you always choose from 2 options which is just funny because technically only 1 button will take you somewhere.

It even has parry system that's just feels pretty bad. Enemies will often attack too early so they don't even hit you, some thrust attacks are borderline teleport attacks and on top of that if you parry too early you will hit the enemy but not parry and if too late your character won't even raise his knife, it's a weird feeling when you press a button and nothing happens, it's like it registers damage on you before it even connects. Overall too clunky and risky, just use guns.

I think this game needs to be less RE and less Infinite to become its own thing.

Now let's talk about the main elephant in the room. Pacing of this game.

The intro tries too much to be triple A. Here we have crawling between two rocks, slow walking, slow walking in water, crawling under rocks, carefully walking on the edge, slow walking while talking. Just an absolute quicksand to go through.

Then we are met with the most beautiful hub zone I ever saw. Chapter 1 is great. And then Chapter 2 is where it feels like it is dragging again, also visually it's just an ugly factory level. Chapter 3 comes in and it looks gorgeous again and.... it's dragging even longer than Chapter 2. By the time you finish you will have a whole arsenal of tools to open doors in every way possible, Gabe better take those to the next game.

Chapter 3 will also surprise you with a working boat and it is the slowest thing that was ever created in a videogame ever. I am positive that a solid hour of this game is you slow walking, crawling in a rock crack, spinning levers and riding this damn boat.

I'd rather have 6-7 perfectly paced hours than feel like my character occasionaly walks underwater with concrete boots.

This game also suffers from yellow paint syndrom, please just take it away along with the crawling sequences that you mark with yellow paint in the first place.

Overall visually beautiful, very peculiar lore and characters but lacks gameplay identity and just plain drags its playtime.

Play if you're interested in the story and don't mind the Resident Evil gameplay. It also has a really good pricetag even without sale.
