As a Malaysian, I always looked forward to the Dear Aunt Thelma column in the local newspaper, The Star, and this game appeared a few days ago in the 2000s Nostalgia Bundle — that’s why I grabbed it immediately.

It’s 2006 — the golden era of Windows XP — and you’re checking emails on Microsoft Outlook as an Agony Aunt working for a famous lifestyle magazine.

What should you do? Just select two new emails each day to help people in need, and there’s an automated response system where you've to choose wisely (or not). The senders will write to you as distressed adults, Y2K teenagers, or even some stray children (you’ll get to know them sooner or later).

It’s a good game for anyone who wants to become a counselor or mentor and offer the best advice they can.

Lovely!

Just finished (I tried all the options), what a lovely, short experience,the gameplay is simple but effective, and managing to find the good answers is super satisfying! Also I love the emulated Windows XP interphace Fun fact: for the shaving legs question, I advised her to go ahead and shave, then as soon as I pressed "ok" I thought "Oh she might use products that are harmful and hurt herself" but it turned out better than expected

I'm really curious for the next game the creators will...

A Neutral review for the game

This game does NOT deserve a negative review, but I can't say it should have a positive one, either. Here is the main problem: there are only two options to reply to the emails. There are two different steam achievements. One for getting all the good advice, and one for all the bad. It's spread out across all playthroughs, so... You don't have to read the text. You don't have to do anything, except go down the list of possible emails, and make sure you click on response 1 the first time, and response...
