A small photo to give you folks an impression how the in-person showcase of Ayna: Shattered Truth went. It was truly amazing as the entire time from start to finish people wanted to try it out the game. Also, so many people stopped by to checkout the game based just on the looks.

We are now having over 8500 wishlists thanks to the incredible community support! Also, more than 3200 people played our demos. We are so incredibly thankful for the reception of our game and it is getting better with every new demo / part we show from the game. Truly magical.
So again thank you all so much! 💚

Finally, we also pitched the game to several publishers at GDC and felt good with the momentum of the new demo release. But it is too early to tell if something comes out of it.

PS: We are hard at work on the game and demo #2 V2.1.0 patch is just around the corner that brings long awaited features from the community.

Demo feedback

Combat does not feel good - Animationlock after attack - Combat = spam attack which staggers enemies - Attacks are queued and not based on realtime input, ( spam attack 3 times and it will do attacks without you inputing anything Movement is very fluid, this is so important so well done on that part. Artstyle is nice, i would add that in demo 1 there was area where the " interact " with NPC symbol. Was gray and similar to the background, making me not see it right away. Good luck, added to wishlist :)...

Demo #2 — Update V2.0.0

Gameplay:

Added completely new gameplay area for demo #2 that can be explored by players
Added new melee water sword attacks combo on ground and in-air and first look at combat in the game
Added enemy gauntlets
Added new wall run player movement ability
Added new climbable walls player movement ability
Added new sticky surface player interaction
Added vendor interactions to buy items
Added upgrader interactions to purchase player upgrades
Added new manual item pick-up interaction for special items
Reduced cooldown time of shocking mops enemies between attacks
Reduced delay for mimosa flower platforms to make it more challenging
Made jumps and dashes even more responsive by removing animation transition into them
Fixed ledge snap animation errors and the animation should now always shown correctly without glitches
Fixed player running in place visual artifacts
Pause menu now correctly pauses the game

Graphics:

Updated DLSS version to DLSS 4 from previous DLSS 3 implementation
Added new DLAA option for DLSS modes to provide the best visual quality setting
Added support for DX12 Tight Buffer Alignment that reduces required GPU memory on supported GPUs that are using up-to-date drivers (NVIDIA Game Ready Drivers 591.44 or later | AMD Adrenalin Edition 25.9.1 or later | Intel Graphics Driver 32.0.101.8331 or later)
Improved overall game stability and reduced game crashes on lower performance hardware due to DX12 game engine improvements
Fixed crash when switching from activated STP upscaler to DLSS or FSR in settings menu

UI:

Added new player journal UI to the game including the following tab menus:
- player inventory
- player abilities and upgrades
Added item pick-up notification bar to HUD
Added new dialog bubble UI to HUD
Added vendor UI
Added upgrader UI

Accessibility:

Migrated rumble / haptics for controllers from Unity's input system to Wwise Motion that also now offers to disable them if wished in controller settings menu

Audio:

Updated audio direction and sound design to be more focused on music instead of an ambience soundscape by increasing sound level for music audio layer

- better platforming that ori and the blind forest so far; i tested to see if you'd buffered the jump input such that it respects inputs to jump sent slightly before you land your previous jump and it seems to. can you believe such a successful game like ori missed that? - some hazards are too hard to see such that it ruins the flow of movement when you realise you have to be using your eagle eye for spikes because you're inclined to slow down and hurt your flow state - wall jumps are tricky to design. Major performance issues

Lot's of stuttering while playing, to the point that it significantly hinders gameplay in some situations. Also something is very wrong with the menus, they should not be this laggy. No, my computer isn't very powerful, but it can run the vast majority of games just fine, but not this one. Game crashes randomly

I'd really love to play this demo, the game feels good. But it keeps crashing - every time I start the game, it runs normally for few minutes, and then crashes. What's more, these aren't just regular crashes when the game just stops working - they cause Windows to get buggy too - my whole desktop goes black and when I point cursor to one of now invisible icons, it uncovers (and stays uncovered), revealing rectangular part of my wallpaper behind it, util I restart PC. I also noticed that turning Vsync on ...
