I want to like this game but it isn't good. The combat is very mediocre, the colours are drab, the stylistic choices in menus and during combat (font choice, warriors sending text messages ?!) a huge miss. Nothing about this game feels genuine medieval. It's difficult to explain, but it is like the game has no soul, as if it is made by people who do not appreciate the time period. As a Dutch person who is very interested in local medieval history I really really wanted to like this game. I refunded.

As a medieval reenactor myself I endorse this game. It has it's gear and weaponry right! The area of the low countries is a bonus, being Dutch myself. I'm still learning the game, but with all details and atmosphere I will love to spend some time there.

This puts Bannerlord to shame. Make a screen recording of a mounted charge into a pike formation and show it to the Mount&Blade team, and keep looking in their eyes, don’t blink until they start crying and running away. Top kek guaranteed.

Shields feel like shields. Axes feel like axes. Momentum feels like a momentum. Fencing feels like fencing. Lances break on impact. Bravo devs.

Runs like a charm on a Steam Deck.
