I launch the game but it crashes instantly.

I takes me about 30+ tries to light the torch in the first dungeon. Practically impossible to replicate. Glowing lights frequently stop in the middle of lines as if i stopped holding down the mouse button when i never did. Does something like mouse acceleration cause this or what?...

So, This is my first time playing through the game and it seems I accidentally hard locked myself out of my playthrough after 25 hours...I went into the dwarf mines before the plot wanted me to (I like exploring) came across the hellhound, and was playing the game blind and accidentally led him to the mine where the mithril ore was. I grew up playing the original ultima underground. then as computers became more powerful you tried to run it and it always was off. the timing for attacks etc. so even tho i own them both from gog i never played them. so seeing this literally multiple decades later 25 ish years seeing a review saying this was supposed to be ultima underground three but due to some sort of licencing thing they couldnt adopt that name so decided to make their own thing and this is that game. just bought it really badly hop...
