I've solved the circular puzzle several times and nothing happens. Could it be a bug?

Not sure if this game is still being developed or if it is abandoned like so many others. I had issues finding a "Pause" button. Entering the inventory or settings doesn't appear to pause anything in game. Makes it hard for dads to play without a pause feature. After killing those rat things, their dead bodies are discombobulated and it looks weird watching the legs ghostly move through its on body. The sledge hammer can bug out and not "fire" when you taking it out and trying to use it. Never on the first set of boxes you have to break, but after that it can just stop working. Making you stuck on the next set of boxes you have to break. Something to look into at least. Not sure what is breaking it. But the try where I got it to work on both set of Boxes I did not read any letters :) Not sure why that should be connected. But there ya go. Great game other than that. Keep up the good work....
