Mr. Sleepy Man Update! Gameplay and Bug Fixes!

I made a bunch of fixes in the last 3 days! Check 'em out!

Gameplay:

I added a reticle for dropping and throwing items to make that mechanic clearer.
You can now dive with your pillow out of the Glide and Cranium Clonk (ground pound).
Removed all cool down time for chaining moves out of the Cranium Clonk (ground pound).

Bugs:

Fixed a bug where you could break Tony Time after trapping Smash Mouse and start the boss again.
Fixed the collider for the soap in a Plumber’s Worst Nightmare. It also has slippery properties now!
Fixed a bug with the pizza in Tony’s Pizza floating out of hands and disappearing at times.
Fixed a bug where bigger items can push you through the ground while standing on a slope.
Fixed a bug with the checkpoint in the windmill after breaking out of jail.
I added a respawn checkpoint in the maze in case you fall through the ground.
Added a failsafe for the broken memory sequence in Nowhere Land.
Fixed a bug where items weren’t respawning in Nowhere Land if you lost them.
Fail safe for the guitar UI not showing up when learning songs in certain edge cases.

If you happen to find more bugs, please submit them to the bug fixing channel in the game's discord! I'm a solo developer, so doing my best to fix them as I see 'em!

Any clues on where to find the clam song or what ever songs is needed after you make a pizza with Tony Pizza? I tried mimicking the notes he snores but nothing happened.

Slide Go Faster - Time?

What is the time needed for the Slide Go Faster shiny? It seems like cereal makes you go faster. Even without falling and getting most of the cereal i can only finish in about 53 seconds. Any tips? What time should I be aiming for? Is there a shortcut like in Mario 64?...

Mr. Sleepy Man Bug Fix Update 3-13-2026

I'm squashing bugs all day and night. Check it!

Puppy Doggy fixes where you couldn’t pick him up after he respawned.
Tony Pizza's mozzarella bug, where it wouldn’t respawn if pushed off the ledge.
Cut out a hole in the side of Tony’s Pizza to prevent the camera from bugging during the mozzarella sequence.
Added a jump tutorial when you get trapped inside a cage and increased the radius of the cage’s escape button.
Tutorial on Tony’s ball of dough for dropping items.
More ultrawide UI adjustments
Prevented 2 softlock bugs in the final sequence. (noted in my Discord to avoid spoilers here)

Launch Day Fixes + Better Ultrawide Support

I wanted to tackle some bugs reported today! Thank you all for a great launch. If you encounter any other bugs, let me know!

Fixed a bug where you could skip certain loading zones.
Extra Ultrawide support
Fixed menus not working with keyboard wasd controls
16:9 resolution options for every device
Custom resolution support

Instructions below for custom resolution support

Right-click Mr. Sleepy Man in Steam -> Properties. Under the General tab, under the "Launch Options" Header
Add [c]-resolution 1920x1080[/c] to force the resolution to 1920x1080. (You can set this to any arbitrary resolution you need to suit your purposes)

Games like this only ever come around once in a while, Cave Story, Balatro and Undertale come to mind.
A lightening bolt reminder that games don't exist to cynically extract value from players or to maximize profit for the shareholders. Games can exist an expression of art and reflect the artist who creates them. They can be a fun experience for the people who plays them just because that was the vision of the person(s) creating the game.

Mr Sleepy Man is a love letter to Nintendo 64 era platformers, saturated in it's creator's sense of humor and style. The controls are tight, the art is fun to look at and I could write paragraphs about the music and sound design. If you are a person who likes fun videogames, and are maybe tired of endless slop and shovelware, do yourself a favor and pick up Mr. Sleepy Man. I've played the demo to death and I'm excited to sink my teeth into the full experience. The world needs more people who like making things making things, and this game is exactly that.

I cannot recommend this game enough. The music is fantastic, and the aesthetic goal of "some random PS1 platformer you played when you were in the fugue state of tiredness after a long night of homework" is hit with a bullseye. What at first looks like a simple and fun "Goat Simulator" type game soon becomes something far, far greater once you start exploring and poking around. Everything you do has some consequence somewhere and figuring out how each piece of the Rube Goldberg fits together is totally satisfying and many times pretty funny. There is so much heart, soul, and personality in this game and it deserves all the praise in the world for being a testament to crafting utterly unique art. I really hope this guy keeps making games because he has a truly special mind and talent for it. Explore every single corner of this game, you will be glad you did. As a first hint, getting a Game Over isn't as bad as you think it is.

this is the soul of Dreamcast, Playstation 1 and N64 platformers thrown into a blender of God Himself, and God smoked all the good weed and out came the lord of Dreams, Mr. Sleepy Man.

this is probably the most unique game i've played and i've played thousands of games so far.

After finding all the notes as Teefy, I sit down to play the dinosaur jones song and nothing happens. I can rotate the analog stick around and select notes, but I cannot play them and I cannot exit out. I'm not seeing anyone else have this problem am I just missing something?...
