Before you, we present more new features and changes we are working on. We want the Survival Machine experience to be as enjoyable as possible. I just want to say that your feedback, which you share with us here on Steam and on our Discord, shapes the game and guides our work. That’s why it’s so important for you to let us know what you think about Survival Machine.

What you will see in this post is not yet in the game. These are elements that we will be adding to Survival Machine in the future. Let us know if you like them!

You haven’t yet encountered all the types of zombies that will be in the game at the 1.0 release. First, I’d like to introduce the Sticky Bomber (if you have a cool name idea for this zombie, let us know in the comments!).

As its working name suggests, the Sticky Bomber throws adhesive bombs at the player, which deal area damage upon explosion. Avoiding one isn’t a big problem—but just wait until a whole horde of them comes at you!

The Sticky Bomber, like all our zombies, isn’t exactly a master of intellect, and its attack can be used against it—provided you’re not afraid to take a bit of damage.

If he manages to attach a bomb to you, try to get close to him or other zombies—this way, the blast hits everyone nearby, not only you! It’s good to keep that in mind when you’re fighting large groups of zombies!

A poorer and less clever cousin of Sticky. While he picked up the idea that throwing objects at the players can take their life, he didn’t quite have the intellect to create bombs. 

That’s why the Stone Throwing Zombie uses whatever it has at hand for its ranged attacks—namely, stones lying on the ground.

Be careful though—the Throwing Zombie may not be the smartest, but it’s very persistent. Once it picks a player as its target, it will keep attacking until the job is done, and only its (second) death will free you from this relentless menace.

Technology may not be the strong suit of our green undead, but they’ve dabbled in magic. Meet the Zombie Shaman, who can heal his fellow undead through a shamanic dance.

A dangerous support unit—if you don’t deal with him quickly, your fight against the undead could drag on dangerously long. He has one weakness that you can take advantage of – he can’t heal himself! Watch out for this guy!

You pointed out that the combat system could use some refinement. While we’re improving its responsiveness and continuously polishing it, we’ve also come to another conclusion—it could use a bit more flair, so that combat feels more impactful and satisfying.

One of the elements we’re working on is special effects when killing a zombie in the head.

We’re cooking up new weapon types, and one of the most spectacular harnesses the genius of Nikola Tesla! Get ready to wield a club and sword, a shield, and a powerful gun.

Powerful attacks with Tesla-based weapons—aside from dealing electric chain damage—can also stun nearby enemies.

The Tesla Shield works in a similar way to its offensive counterparts. When you successfully block, it shocks your attackers. A perfect block even stuns them!

As I mentioned, the game will also feature the Tesla Gun. Like its melee counterparts, it not only deals damage to the target but also sends out an electric wave that spreads to nearby zombies.

I hope you’ll enjoy the changes and new content. I’m counting on your feedback though—should Sticky’s bombs have a different (bigger? smaller?) blast radius, or is something missing (or too much) with the Tesla weapons?
