Welcome to Zealot, a top-down action-adventure game where you shall take on the mantle of a fallen priest, the sole survivor of a long ruined Orthodox colony who has awoken to fulfil their holy mission - to cleanse the heretical Paganism plaguing the land and renew devotion to the one true faith! The land you explore in Zealot in heavily inspired by Slavic culture and its traditions. You will roam and fight your way through a land ruled by tribal cults who have given themselves to a number of Pagan deities.

By placing their full, unwavering belief in these deities the tribal cults are able to invoke physical manifestations of those they worship, granting otherwordly and forbidden powers to the true believers. That is where the Orthodoxy, and you, come in...

Centuries have passed since the Orthodoxy missionaries were struck down by the jealous and fearful Pagan cults, but now as a true believer you have risen to show them faith’s absolute power!

• Active Combat – Each foe must be handled differently, with skilled use of combo timing and dodging being rewarded with bonus damage.
• Open World – Progress through Zealot however you decide. Pick from 4 main areas as you choose where your holy questions begins and ends...
• Metroidvania Exploration – Every area has secrets and locations that require certain tools to be accessed. Exploring the land to its fullest will have its rewards.
• Progression System – Find and reforge lost arms to and reforge them into powerful new weapons and upgrades by following a unique smithing system.
• Lost Reliquary – Discover Relics throughout the world that when equipped will augment your combat abilities!
• Prayers – Equip Prayers to passively influence your power to support your playstyle.
• Indirect World Building – Discover the Slavic inspired world and story of Zealot via set-pieces and a carefully decorated environment. Those that seek it will find a narrative detailing the game-world's history.
  
• Retro Inspired Visuals – All sprites are hand-crafted and combined with a low poly 3D world
