Hello pilots!

🛠️ Hotfix 1.0.3: Time Multiplier Mode
In this patch we improved the Time Multiplier experience. If using afterburner when multiplier is active, it will not drain out, thus making this mode similar to a 'cruise mode'.
Additionally we fixed mouse and keyboard pitch axis not responding to the invert pitch axis setting.

Can't even get past the first group of bad guys in Zanda or whatever

It's the first real mission, you're supposed to go visit a girl in some weird planet, sounds like Zanzibar, I guess, I can't remember what it's called. But dude, I gave up in frustration after the fifth reload because those fighters are impossible to defeat/escape. Game is ridiculously hard right off the bat. That's not very encouraging. I only play space games, especially spaceship dogfighting games, and I even had this game on mobile like fifteen years ago and got farther than this. Dev, what's up? You...

Hello pilots!

Thank you all for an incredible launch day! We apologize for the crash to desktop that occurred in the initial build, and we want to express our gratitude for your support, your reports are the reason why we were able to fix the bug so quickly!

Also, we have received a lot of great feedback and we plan to provide further stability and quality-of-life improvements in the coming days/weeks!

For now we published 2 patches, latest being v1.0.2

🔄 v1.0.2 - HOTAS Support: Fixed an issue where HOTAS throttle axis input was not being processed.
The game currently only supports single device HOTAS setups. We know our hardware support is incomplete, but we are committed to improving it. If your single-device setup isn't working—or if you'd like to see multi-device support in the future—please let us know in Community Hub.

🔄 v1.0.1 - Resolved the crash to desktop that occurred shortly after launch.
If you are still seeing crashes, please check if your game has updated to the latest version, sometimes it takes a while before Steam detects there is an update available.

I'm an old gamer that grew up with Wing Commande and Privateer and this game is bringing up those memories. I don't know if devs were inspired by those games but for me this game feels a lot like Privateer with updated graphics and polished arcade like dog-fighthing in space.

Some tips:
- always target the ship you attack, there seems to be a small autoaim helper when doing so
- there is an icon poping up on the right bottom corner that tells you when you can dock or jump
- you can jump with the button from a fair distance instead of colliding with the gates
- get the best afterburner you can find, as soon as possible
- follow the pink arrow for next mission target/waypoint
I've always been dreamming about Privateer Online, can I dream for online play with this gameplay?

Edit Edit: Issue on the steam deck was resolved within minutes by an amazing dev. Gameplay is awesome and buttery smooth on the deck. Thank you guys!
Edit: it crashes if you push A or B on the steam deck when tutorial messages pop up. If you push start it works properly. Should be fixed though. Crashes at the first part of the tutorial on the steam deck. I’ve tried 4 times now and it crashes right when the tutorial notification about jump gates pops up and you push ok

This game definitely has the Freelancer vibe! Indeed, the world can be bigger and I hope the devs will add more systems and missions but this has the right mix of accessible controls while still feels like a true simulation. So devs, please keep expanding the world, I'm not sure if it needs more ships but I would happily pay more for multiplayer.

first observations

the '25 Hyena' ship has no reason to exist (at least i cant think something out). It has almost the same stats as the starting ship, except that -4 on handling. All the rest, are the same exact stats. Either adjust its stats or remove it. I see no reason to exist as it is now. The story missions need to relax a lot - you cant force them on to us. For example i was on the mission to escort the Daedalus to its destination and as soon as i completed it, i got a message to go race - with no option to land my ...
