Nice puzzles and story.
The ending was a little confusing and underwhelming.

This game is kind of Full Throttle meets Stranger things, or perhaps Silent Hill. It starts out interesting, but becomes a bizarre horror story/moral quagmire. (Spoiler alert). While looking for answers about her beloved Grandfather's death, the main character discovers that her Grandfather had gotten entangled in a bizarre religious cult. This cult appears to have been responsible for the untimely deaths of dozens of people, including a little girl who drowned herself (sort of). The cult masquerades as a legitimate Christian Church, but the religious phrases they say have hidden meanings. To find her answers the protagonist must find the entrance to Hell, and confront the "Crimson One" - a stand-in for satan. The answer in the end is that God hates us, and he tries to destroy us with guilt, it is the devil who really cares about us. The Crimson One leads each soul on a journey of deep introspection. Only those who are strong enough to deny that they ever did anything to feel guilty about, and reject all feelings of guilt, are saved in the end. The rest are destroyed by a vengeful God for feeling guilty. In her final trial, the main character has to kill the mother she had committed to an insane asylum, trick her father into falling into a pit, and confront the ghost of her aborted child then tell him she did the right thing by killing him and tell him to go away and stop bothering her. By doing these things she earns the respect of the "Crimson One" and the devil then releases her from her ordeal. She climbs out of the pit , pours gasoline on the entrance and sets fire to it, which closes some sort of dimensional rift. The leader of the cult commits suicide, and the town is freed from a 30-year malaise. I need to go wash my brain in beer to erase the memory of this game.

f you're a fan of point and click adventure games I highly recommend Kathy Rain. It's short but so so good, it has that feeling of the old 90s games with awesome pixel art and snappy one liners. Very heartfelt, and deals with some really heavy themes.
