Did you know Nocturne actually has a longer Demo?
It's the old demo from 2024 which includes the full first chapter.
It's not quite as polished, as it's missing the modern UI, and controller support.
But you can play the full first chapter including the boss fight!

Unable to play?

I can't tell if it's a problem with my game or with Steam but when I click to play it pops up for a moment and then just shuts down. I'm able to play other games though so idk what's happening

Demo Softlock Patch

If you found yourself unable to progress past the New Game screen, or had a softlock during any of our Tutorials, we've just released a small demo patch to fix those issues.

The Satoru fight will no longer softlock even under the most laggy conditions.
Fixed an issue where some OS languages (such as Turkish) wouldn't allow you to create a new game.
Being defeated by Kimothy and Satoru no longer breaks some SFX.

The graphics and user interface look great, but the default keyboard shortcuts – movement using the arrow keys? I think it would be better to set WASD or, to make it more interesting, DFJK, so that the player doesn't have to switch between keys every few seconds. Also, using the space bar to attack is a really bad decision – it's hard to press the key out of rhythm when you're trying to concentrate. In my opinion, it should be automatic. Also, when skipping dialogues, you have to use the Enter key -> w...

Controller support

I thought i can do this but i can't. Apparently the controller is only usable in settings. i'm so bad at this type of game so controller is the only way
