Since our last update, we’ve been hard working refining the maps, fine-tuning the fish, and making sure every cast feels authentic.

This time, we have special news to share! Not only have we been making progress behind the scenes, but we’re also preparing to meet you face to face at one of the most important fishing events in the US, REDCREST. Let’s take a closer look at what’s new.

From April 17 to April 19th, 2026, the biggest stage in tournament fishing takes center stage at REDCREST 2026. This year, we are thrilled to announce that MLF: Pro Catch will be there.

We will have our own booth, where every visitor can stop by and try our game. Explore the map, test gear, and catch some fish! It is the perfect chance to take a deeper look into what we have been working on.

To celebrate this, we are running a special giveaway from April 17th, 2026, to May 17th, 2026. Be one of the 5 lucky winners who will take home a YETI Tundra 45 Hard Cooler. This Rugged, Reliable, and tournament-ready cooler is the kind of prize that belongs on the water.

As we mentioned in the previous DevLog (here), the base game features six distinct maps, each inspired by iconic places across the USA.

No need to keep you guessing any longer - here is the list of maps you will explore in the game:

• Sturgeon Bay (Wisconsin)

• Lake Whitney (Texas)

• Shadow Lake (Colorado)

• Rock Creek Bay (Arizona)

• Everglades (Florida)

• Florida Ocean (Florida)

Each map is packed with different fish species (some of them live across the whole USA and can be found on a few maps), unique POIs, environment, and underwater bottom structure! Besides that, each map will feature a day-night cycle and dynamic weather!

And today, we will talk a bit more about.....

Sturgeon Bay is known for its clear waters and impressive fishing history. It’s home to huge Smallmouth Bass and Muskie, and it’s a favorite spot for Major League Fishing pros.

You can fish from the shore or take a boat to discover secret spots and find the best catches. Soon, you’ll get the chance to test your skills on these famous waters and try to break some records in the game. Get your virtual gear ready - the big fish of Sturgeon Bay are waiting for you.

At Sturgeon Bay, you will be able to target a variety of species, including Smallmouth Bass, Muskellunge, Lake Sturgeon, Northern Pike, Chinook Salmon, and many more.

Every fish in our game acts in a realistic way, not just during the fight, but even before you get a bite. Each map features a full day-and-night cycle and changing weather. Both the time of day and the weather affect how fish behave and how active different species are.

Fish are very aware of what’s happening around them and can be easily scared. If you drive your boat into a school of fish, they will scatter. If you move quickly through the water, you’ll scare them away. If a fish snaps your line and swims off in a panic, it will also frighten the other fish nearby.

But don’t worry - they won’t stay scared for long. After a short time, the fish will calm down and go back to their usual routines. Since they may have moved, you might need to use your boat’s sonar to find them again.

Fish also group together and patrol certain underwater spots. You’ll notice different behaviors, like predators and plant-eaters, and each species has its own swimming speed and habits.

Some fish will jump out of the water to try to shake off your hook, while others will dive deep to hide. So, picking the right gear and bait isn’t enough - you’ll need real fishing skills and awareness to catch the biggest fish.

Is MLF: Pro Catch safe for streamers to play?

It is. Our game contains royalty-free music and sounds. The game also has an online radio feature that plays various music. We plan to add Streamer Mode that will turn off online radio & hide the streamer's nickname.

Which languages will MLF: Pro Catch be available in?

You will be able to enjoy MLF: Pro Catch in English, Polish, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Chinese (Simplified), Turkish, Korean, Portuguese, Japanese

Will MLF: Pro Catch include microtransactions or downloadable content (DLC)?

No microtransactions. We plan to have DLC later, with the same style as in UFS. DLC = New Map & New Fish.

Are there plans to release MLF: Pro Catch on other platforms/consoles?

Yes, MLF will be released on PlayStation 5 & 5 Pro, Xbox Series X|S, and somewhere in the future for Nintendo Switch 2. Firstly, the game will be released on PC!

The base game focuses on fishing in the USA. Base game includes 6 maps: Kings Lake (USA), Rock Creek Bay (USA), Everglades (USA), California Bay (USA), Sturgeon Bay (USA), Lake Whitney (USA)

Are species tied to specific biomes or locations?

At this point, fish are tied to water depth, but predators can hunt for other fish, and when you swim or walk in the water, you will scare the fish! So watch your steps!

How does gear affect gameplay? Is it cosmetic, statistical, or both?

Gear is the most important thing in real life, and it's no different in MLF! Pick up a proper rod, reel, line, lure, bait, and evolve! Decide if you want a real challenge by catching big fish on a light rod or go sea fishing with a heavy one! But don’t be fooled, big monsters require big reels, that's the truth!

Is there a free‑roam fishing mode?

The game is all about fishing where you want and how you want. You are not limited to shore or in the water. Just jump on the boat and drive to the deep blue!

Will the game include Steam achievements?

Yes, it will! Both for catching specific fish and a few more unique ones!
