I've played this game for 9 hours and it feels like a pale imitation of Wildermyth or Wartales. Buy those instead. Negatives:
There's little character progression and it resets at the end of frustratingly short episodes
The pool of random encounters is tiny
The map selection is tiny
The character ability upgrades are mere upgrades and do not unlock new strategic possibilities
Difficulty isn't well-judged
There were some bugs with enemies spawning barriers
The translations (I assume) are poor. Or else they can't spell, most notably 'pierce' is always 'piece'
I just don't see the need for real-time-with-pause in place of turn-based mechanics.

Positives:
It's a good start of a game, and if they're planning further work or DLC then add that in and it might have more depth. This feels like a playtest half-way through development, and if it were, I'd call it promising.
But not enough that I'd want to buy it now and see it through development.
