Multiplayer Update (0.14)

It has been a busy few months of hard work and QA, but Multiplayer at last makes it into Planetation! In v0.14 you can play with up to 8 players in one world, all exploring and exploding at the same time! That's not all though, this update is packed with a heap of extra content as well as a visual upgrade. Let us know what you think!

Major Changes

Added 8 player co-op multiplayer
- Note: Expect bugs - lots of them. We are particularly interested in what feels slow or laggy or bad, so give it a go!
- Right-click "Join Game" via the Steam friends list
Reworked Abandoned Bunkers (previously Outback Harmsteads)
- Now appears randomly throughout the Outback, instead of in their own sub-Region (meaning they can now spawn on hillsides and creeks). Builds a circular fence at a random distance around the bunker, then populates the interior with buildings and crops
- Added Hay Bales, Silos, Watchtowers, Outhouses, and Fuseboxes
- Added a bunker puzzle to the central building
Polished Fibergrass
- Split Fibergrass into Fibergrass atop a Fibergrass Trunk
- Added 2 and 3 headed variants of the Fibergrass Trunk
- Always gather Fibergrass even if the sweetspot is missed
- Increased sweetspot miss damage from 5 to 15
Added player death screen and respawn option
- Dead players now drop a Gravestone, which contains any basic items they were carrying
Added new bold edge postprocess effect
Added new Spring Sprout landmark to the Mesa
Added new Quartz Sliver landmark to the Mesa
Increased spawn rate of Quartz Spires in the Mesa by ~25%
Reduced jetpack speed from 600 to 550 and greatly reduced energy efficiency by ~55%
Reduced maximum player interaction distance from 700 to 400
Removed the starting player energy battery
Fixed dropped items (mostly quartz dust and harvested crops) spawning below the ground
Changed the Torch toggle button from right click to left click
Changed the starting time of day from 0.2 to 0.1

Minor Changes

Added team names to the M.A.T.E. Scan
Added new fuse particles and sound effect to lit Boomshrooms
Added distance labels (in meters) to the compass
Added fluid fill bar to inventory item icons such as the Jerrycan
Fixed sound effects having a noticeable delay when first played
Increased the brightness of night time
Fixed Ironberry Crops always showing as Stunted (red widget)
Changed 'teleport' console command to 'move'
Merge 'teleport-region' and 'teleport-biome' console commands into 'teleport-to' and 'teleport', which can now take a location OR a region/biome name OR a player name OR "mech"
Added 'break' and 'repair' console commands, which kill and revive the player/tractormech
Added 'complete-quest' console command, to instantly complete a quest
Fixed Protatoes using Consume on right click instead of Eat
Fixed Bonebark Trees sometimes not spawning any Bonebark
Improved performance of the Outback ambient wind particle effect
Fixed Genehouse legs being visible in scans

found the game by sheer luck while searching for games mostly matching the genre / tags of ( abiotic factor ), and was surprised to see one that looked like ( lightyear frontier ), but with an not-so-peaceful approach to things. -- on an side note, i should let you know that the trailer on the store page, does not work, waited for it to load for awhile, but the most it did was end up as an black box where the video should've been. did like what could be seen of the game from the screenshots and gifs thoug...

We hope everyone had a great holiday! We're back to development and today we're excited to introduce abandoned Harmsteads throughout the Outback. These derelict farms have been long abandoned by their owners (likely deceased), and are full of loot ready for you to make yours. These Harmsteads represent a huge addition to the game and we intend to expand them significantly over the next couple of updates.

Major Changes

Added first pass of randomly generated Abandoned Harmsteads to the Outback, with new Codex entries
Added Wood and Stone gatherables to the Mesa biome
Added throttling to background landmark generation when the frame rate is low
Fixed intermittent and extremely random crash

Minor Changes

Improved Dark Embolus consistency of attaching to other landmarks
Fixed janky Composter lid animation
Improved Wood Gate terrain deformation
Added Wood Gate and Baked Protato sound effects
Added uncommon item loot effect

In addition to the below fixes, we have temporarily built debug tools into this release. We're trying to track down a rare crash that can occur after playing for a while, so if you experience this crash on this new build then please send us the crash dump on Discord!

Fixed not being able to interact with building drafts such as the Genehouse
Fixed the Dynamite explosion sound not playing
Fixed crash when setting the master volume
Fixed Quartz in the Geode not shattering when the Dark Amber is destroyed
Fixed Quartz Shards sometimes leaving their particle effects behind when destroyed
Fixed the Genehouse Tracer scan job never completing
Fixed the Crafting "x5" button playing the sound effect up to 5 times
Give the player energy over time when near a destroyed Dark Amber
Polished the new Health bar popups
- Added pips that indicate maximum health
- Made Health bars always visible over the terrain
- Changed Quartz to use Health bars

A few questions after watching the demo video!

Firstly, Co-Op/Server/Local is it planned? if so what kind of player limits are you looking at, Secondly, VR? since its FP it would seem a good fit and something needed in the VR space I found your vid as I was looking into voxel generation and came across the Plugin for UE and you video on there!...

Make a store page and then provide no video of game play or in this case, no video AND no images of the characters in the game. What is the point in doing a game store page like this? Is it to see if anyone is even remotely interested in the concept of this game before investing time in creating content?...
