Dated memes aside...

For those who didn't play the original game on dlsite My Forest Home was originally a rather simple title.[www.dlsite.com] (A little too simple to be perfectly honest.) When we approached this pixel artist for work in December we decided that it would be pretty cool to get some of his games on Steam as well. However do the extreme simplicity of the original game we knew instinctively that it wouldn't work out too well even at a cheap price. So instead... we convinced ChimeraZak to revisit this project and make something worth putting on this platform!

Much like what happened with the creator of Venture Seas. A lot of adult devs in the h-industry (both east and west) have not been exposed to such a large and opinionated platform. Here on Steam the expectations are higher and instead of us just gobbling whatever we can get... we prefer to help developers come to terms with this reality and motivate them to take their basic ideas and expand them into something that feels more like a solid product.

While My Forest Home: Deluxe is still going to be rather compact and tight compared to some of the bigger metroidvanias in the mainstream indie space, our goal is to be one of the leading adult publishers in the h-industry to bridge that quality gap! We want to make and support products like Last Evil that are legitimately fun to play and continue the trend of "I came for the porn stayed for the game" kind of satisfaction that players get when they play good hentai titles.

So with that being said, we like to invest and provide creators with the right talent so that polish can actually be accomplished. Thankfully over the years we have grown quite a collective of talented people to help out and they have been more than willing to give this guy the support he needs.

We got Zak in contact with Kyrie (the pixel artist and programmer of Erocio) for coaching in pixelart and programming advice in Game Maker 2.

ChemiraZak also has weakness for making tile sets (more like hates doing them) so we hired a 15 year professional pixel artist who has worked on Golf Story and the popular mobile game Crashy Cats to give him a hand on giving his environments a facelift as well as general pixel art advice.

We decided that is project definitely needed some CGs! So we paid for an artist by the name of Lustfire to make him some cute lewds with his adorable artstyle. This artist also has the support on another artist from Vietnam in order to support his weakness for backgrounds to add a nice dash of visual fidelity.

In the past 6 months ChimeraZak has grown exponentially as an individual and we are even more excited to work with him on his sophomore product after this title is done. Zak is still planning for this project to get done this year before November so don't you guys worry! There has been so much work already done and you'll be able to play with the new and Improved Azumi real soon!
