the error message says "missing executable" and I tried reinstalling, repairing files, repairing library and I still can't get the game to open

When I download, it downloads 0 bytes and says it's complete. When I browse local files there is only a folder named "EmptySteamDepot" which is empty. I tried reinstalling the game, verifying the files, removing the free license and adding it again. How can I access the game?...

Seriously? Is it just me or is it ridiculous you HAVE to have either Kika or Daigo be played by controller? Why not impliment a way for one person to use WASD + spacebar, & the other player use the arrow keys + enter. Just a thought.
