Great art style and presentation, interesting audio, combat mechanics are okay but becomes boring - almost tedious - fairly quickly. Some difficulty spikes in areas with occasionally frustrating hitboxes. Many places to explore but with little reward, especially in the first areas to hook you in. All style, little substance. Not a very compelling world, very little reason to push onward beyond enjoying the scenery.

Souls-likes and Metroidvanias are my favorite games so I don't mind a challenge and exploration, but I couldn't stick with this one, it leaves too much to be desired.

The game has a lot of potential, so I'm curious to see what this studio will do next.

this game is broken on steam deck. you cant put i on sleep mode and if you go more than 2 minutes without pressing a button then it would freeze and youd be forced to close it losing all unsved progress . same goes with if you put it on sleep mode

I feel like [and this is broadly applicable across all soulslikes I've played] the fromsoft adjacent/inspired stuff works better in still linear, but open 3d. I don't really like 2d games anyway but i think this games plot n environments especially suffer from being locked to a side view perspective
