Guess most people here gave up hope for a sequel anyway. Googled a bit after seeing multiple posts here asking for info. Well, didnt find out real info about the people behind 198x and future plans, but the website for this game is gone, their tumblr page is gone, the last activity by the 198X account on Twitter / X was made in April 2021....

I found three messages written in binary during the Kill Screen minigame, inside the big rooms with the dragons. The center one says "visit him", the right one says "C2H5OH" and the left one says "i love u" I'm not sure if they're related to the plot or if they hint to more secrets....

Just sayin...

...what is it? @Hi-Bit Studios I can see that you've posted an update on the Kickstarter campaign last March 10, 2023 called "The future of 198X". Unfortunately, you've also made this update available only for backers to view. As many of us who have purchased your game here on Steam are also eagerly waiting for the sequel, it would be great if you could please share the good news with us as well!...

I cannot progress through to the next part of the game because of what appears to be some sort of bug in a specific area of the 3rd or 4th area, where I just seem to fall through the platforms and into the pit. Has anyone else run into this issue? It's been like 7 or 8 tries and I keep falling through at the same part every time. I tried jumping over the platform altogether, but I even fell through the next one as well....
