Here we go with another update improving the game experience.

• \[Major] Added a new shift system that will be used as the base for the core gameplay loop of the game. This means:

  • A session consists of three shifts that have individual timings.

  • Each shift will increase in difficulty through aspects like guest spawn rate and delivery or wait times.

  • Between each shift there is an intermission that allows players to unlock (future update) new objects that will help with the upcoming shift.

• Reduced volume of mixer sound and added attenuation over distance.

• Tweaked gameplay difficulty and introduced dynamic difficulty based on the player count.

As promised in our last patch notes, we are trying to stick to push updates to improve player feedback and the overall game experience. We did change the following topics:

Version: 0.1.0.20

• \[Major] When the map refreshed due to joinin through friend invite or a matchmaking lobby found), while the options menu was open, no input was possible anymore.

• Added UI to visualize how to balance a drink before you drop it on the ground while carrying.

• We reworked the interaction system to introduce easier controls:

  • Pressing "Interact" to pickup (F on keyboard) while already carrying something won't replace the carried item anymore. This enables significantly better item handling when dropping.

  • When carrying an object that isn't compatible a specific interact action, we won't offer that action aymore. For example: Carrying a finished drink won't highlight the mixer anymore.

  • Facing a horizontal surface with a suiting item will provide you with the ability to place the items directly on the horizontal surface, no guessing required anymore.

• Added new version number located in the options menu at the bottom of the screen.

• Reduced the bright overlay shader on interactable objects to make them less distracting.

• Added a wishlist button in the options menu.

• Added a Steam Hub and Discord button in the options menu to ensure an easier feedback pipeline.

• Added proper game icon to the exectuable.

• Adjusted particle effects for the mixer.

• Added minor sound effects for the interaction with the matchmaking and session objects.

• Added a new look sensitivity option in the "Controls" section of the options menu.

• Added a trash cans to dump drinks that turned out junk.

• Added icons for the ingredients to the bar.
