its a must play and hella fun the story is also great but this game falls into a catagory of forgotten ips like allegedly revealed by court documents a couple years ago activision was gonna do a infamous crossover with this and that woulda been fire as ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

This is an old school hack and slash, played it when had X360, worth checking the hints when unlocking skills, otherwise can be confusing to master the combat. Game is fine if you just want to relax for a few hours.

Runs smoothly on linux, I've seen comments that the savegame is bugged (so far so good for me). Turning on antialiasing will cause the game to have ghosting of windows and objects behind buildings, turning it off will sort that problem out. I think I've seen in library that the game is not compatible with controller (maybe I'm hallucinating?) but in fact it works, even with 8BitDo Ultimate 2

I remember it crashed when launched on Windows (a few years back) and there is a script that fixes this problem on Nexusmods, I just grabbed that script gave it to GPT to convert it to linux and executed.

I swear, if this game got remade or they ever made a Prototype 3 it would probably be the best superpower simulator ever. I feel Prototype takes some Batman Arkham/Spiderman, takes some Just Cause and a sprinkle of malice and then becomes this power-fantasy heaven. It's a little bit outdated, but there is still a lot of fun to be had for sure. The whole idea and art design is so metal and just slamming through cars and busting out skyscraper windows at breakneck speed will never not be awesome.
