I post here cause I can't acces to bug report
And Bad Pipe, I assume the ugly floating squares from liquids that can't mix is a Starbound limitation
Nin: No, they appear in the tree - majority of players didn't like them being hidden because it made it difficult to plot your route through research, as you had no idea what you were actually getting (we tried this in the beta phase before release)
It's been a few years since I've played and wanted to ask, are recipes still invisible in the research tree until you've crafted the necessary/relevant items? I remember before the big Research update that that's how you learned how to make new items, like learning what one of the Alloys are when you first smelt a necessary bar like Zerchesium Bar -> Advanced Alloy
I don't dislike the Research system, I just really enjoy the wonder of making something for the first time naturally teaches you how to make new items that you've never seen before. That's something that the Tree system spoiled for me, I don't want to know what things will teach me until I make them.
I've tried looking into other people making similar requests or mods to address this rather particular hang-up, but it always just came to "go admin mode and unlock everything" or "make every research node require 1 point to unlock".
